One or two slides in the living area?

We've looked at a two slide coach that we like quite a bit that has one slide in the living area, one in the bedroom. We've also looked at coaches with opposing slides in the living area. DW seems to not have an opinion but I think I like having the larger living are? At the same time, I feel comfortable in the single living area slide, probably because I really like everything else about the coach. Has anyone ever thought they had to have the opposing slide in the living area but bought the single and been satisfied?

The floor plan has a sofa and dinette on the drivers side and an end table/desk, euro recliner and galley on the passenger side. We will not be full timing but using the coach once a month from three days to two weeks at a time. We are looking at a 42 tag with a big Cat.

We had 1 slide in out last coach, and now have 3 slides in our current coach, with 2 being in the living area. Not sure we could ever go back to 1 slide. The living area becomes so huge when both slides open up in the living.

We had a 5-r with opposing LR slides & now a coach with just 1 LR slide. Hands down the opposing slides gave us much more living space when deployed & we will most likely end up with opposing slides when/if we purchase another coach. The downside is passenger-side slides (unless shallow) seem to take up more patio space than I'd like & they put the awning up so high I can't easily hang my lights. Although some newer coaches are now putting the awnings on the slides rather than near the roofline, which is better.

Had 2 slides in a 33 foot. Now 4 slides in a 43. Could do with 3 but 2 would need to be in the living space.

We have opposing slides in living area and really enjoy it. Once when camping with friends who have two other MH's and when a storm came up as dinner was ready, everyone gathered in our HR Endeavor - the only one with two opposing slides and dinner with friends when on as usual. It is also great because the dog house (crate) fits nicely without being in the way. JMHO

Would all depend on how much time you plan to spend inside. We are still quite a ways from retirement and do the 2 to 3 weekends a month and 2 weeks at a time vacation during the summer months and have 1 slide in LR. We try to spend as much time outside as we can. For us right now, while more slides would be nice, we don't have to have them.

Went from 2 slides in our old coach to 4 in our new 35' coach. Really is a difference with the two in the living area. Ate dinner last night with friends in the coach with one slide in the living area. The living space in theirs almost looked small,mand they have a 38' coach.

Two opposing slides, goodness is very roomy interior. However the passenger side slide extends into the outside patio area, which can be a negative when in narrow CG spaces. Additionally the awning, if not mounted to the slide, is high and of limited down angle adjustability. This negates much of the awning shade making b

For me it would depend on what the 2nd slide does to storage access. I absolutely hate crawling around on the ground UNDER the slide/storage compartment doors. Guess that's why I would make sure the coach had horizontal opening storage compartment doors. But even those can be a pain when the slide is out. Some makers integrate the storage with the slide, others do not. Something to consider.

We are on our first trip with our " new to us" Windsor. It has two slides, one lv room, one bedroom. There is really plenty of room in here with up to nine folks sitting and chatting. I do like having easy access to the storage bays. Do I think a single lv room slide is the best option? No, two would be better but one sure works great also!

Opposing slides in the living area with TV on the wall opposite the coach and lounge chair. That's the only way I'll every go.

My original unit had 1 slide, very satisfied with it and didn't realize what I was missing. I now have a unit with 3 slides, 1 Full Wall slide on street side and opposing slide in living area with another opposing slide in bedroom which accommodates a king size bed. Truly amazing how much room I have inside.

My only point is you really need to think how you will use the coach? I really miss the aisle space when traveling, at the time we had High School/College age children and we initially missed the aisle space we had with 1 slide. Now we have adapted to the narrower aisle space going down the road, so that is the major trade off. But I wouldn't go back to one slide in Living area regardless. The extra 1/2 bath is unbelievable, full size queen bed up front with a small full size bed, and plenty of floor space for a quality air mattress if needed.
