Opinions, please!

Narrowing down our search for our first DP. Choices are a 04 Revolution 40c 350 Cummings w/side radiator or a 05 Tiffin Phaeton 40qdh. Mileage both in 40k range. Both have tires 1-2 yr old. Both private sellers, both ending RV travel due to health/age. Price close to equal.
So to me, reputation and/or known issues could be tiebreakers?
Anyone care to weigh in?

Of those two I'd probably take the Tiffin. BUT the floor plan may be the deciding factor, it would be with my wife!

If you find them both about as desirable as each other and the NADA values are about the same, I would put a lot of emphasis on the character of the owners and if it appears they have treated the coach appropriately with regular maintenance, including documentation of such.

My $.02. Whatever one has the floor plan that you and your DW like the best is probably the right choice for you. Personally I'd lean towards the Rev, especially if the Phaeton has a rear radiator. The Rev has a higher GCWR 41K vs Phaeton's 39,410.

I agree with getting a side radiator. And the big deciding factor for me would be complete maint. records.

Smile And the winner is ....

DW & I went to see the '05 Phaeton 40QDH yesterday, and I beleive it might have taken her as much as 1.5 minutes to say, "I REALLY like this one!" Having been married as long as we have, I knew that to mean, "make an offer!"

4 slides, tires in 2012, solid maintenance records, new guts to the norcold refrigerator in 2013, 40k miles, excellent maple cabinetry, 350hp Cat, runs and rides great.

Now we just have to get the paperwork done, and we will own our first coach!
