Original coolant in Onan generator.

Our diesel 2010 Damon Astoria came with "Alliance" engine coolant. Can I assume our Onan diesel generator came with the same coolant?

Not necessarily. My Cummins ISC came with different antifreeze than my Onan 7.5KW quiet diesel.

The main engine and generator are completely separate systems. They very likely have different coolant types. Onan 7.5K Quiet Diesel says the following under 'Changing Coolant': "The engine cooling system is filled with a 50/50 mixture of ethylene glocol anti-freeze and water... Use ethylene or propylene glycol anti-freeze solution that contains a rust and corrosion inhibitor. The anti-freeze should not contain a stop-leak additive."

Nope, don't assume that at all! The generator doesn't need OAT or coolant containing SCA's whereas the engine does.
