Paint paint and more paint. Started to remove some of the fluorescent fixtures and tried out some of the 3000k lights.
I ordered some from itc thru camping world and some thru amazon. The amazon ones have far super plastic moulding, no flashing and the raised symbols appear neat. The light chips look very similar, nothing obvious in quality difference.
10 for 65 from amazon
3 for 50 from itc....these are getting returned for sure
There will he approx 60 led pucks through the whole coach.
Camera distrots the true color but in real life we love ot! Warm, cozy, inviting. I love having just the undercabinet lughting on.
This is a total of 5 pucks on..the front area will have approx 24...shell be plenty bright...and far less power usage. They are just over 2w a piece.

Not happy with how these dark tan seats look under the 3000k lighting...almost a dark olive green..quite gross. But they look very nice in sunlight.
They will have to do for now.
The forward facing bench will have 2 more seatbelts as well bringing the total belted occupant capacity to 6 people.
Finishing up some more painting in the front galley area in next few days so i can start on the new carpeting in the cockpit and can finally install the 2 extra captain chairs.

Im concerned about alot of things. But in the end just do it.
I did a 50 mile trip, all seemed ok.
Time will tell.

The way you laid the tile I'd be more worried about all that weight. But I know some like to drive their RVs on rough or on unimproved roads...that's what I'd avoid the most. Racking the RV would be the worst I think. That means careful over really steep driveway entrances too. And you can find those all over the country at many big box stores. I hate whipsawing the RV on inappropriately placed or sized speed bumps in RV parks too.
So be careful and it looks great!

Exactly, exiting my street it flexes as it goes from a 4 pct grade down to a 2pct grade up. I dont like it but its how it is.
The hope is the ditra will allow it to flex tile by tile along the grout lines...ttyays at the extreme, best case sublorr will flex under the thinset.
The way i see it, this method i did is far superior to how most motorhomes are done, tile direct to osb..

Great job so far, I love the look of the older Monaco's!
Your 89 has the semi monocoque, all steel construction the same as my 96, so the flexing will be minimal, I think? You have the same manual injected motor that I have, mine is factory set at 275 HP. and it does a great job!
Mine also has the full wide-body, that they started in 96, very roomy for a no slide coach!
I will enjoy following your progress! Rail!

I would love to do something like that but Im not sure I have the drive to see a project like that to completion.

New carpet is 75% done, just the firewall area left and under the old TV box surround. then drill and mount the rear captain chairs with seatbelts.
Under the plywood boses its sheet metal with welded in angle iron so it has some good hard points to tie into.
