Outdoor folding chair recommendations

Am looking for advice on heavy duty outdoor folding chairs. I'm 6-7" tall and would like to find a comfortable outdoor chair, preferably with solid arms. Thanks.

Most of us don't know what it takes to be comfortable to a 6'7" frame. Best advice I can give is just to visit all the types of places that sell chairs and try them out until you find something you like.
Then after I set in them at the campsite for a day or two, I don't like them near as good as I did in the store.

I agree - let your body do the shopping. I prefer mesh fabric as it is much cooler. My back, and thighs sweat in a chair with solid fabric.

I’m 6’5” and have a bad back (bulging disc so need lumbar support). I’ve found the Strongbak chair to be very comfortable. However it is larger and heavier than most.

I suggest a Strongback Chair. Watch the 2 minute video. All the best.

I always read these threads because I'm always looking for a good chair. I have a couple in my shed that I don't use, because they proved to be uncomfortable. Years ago we found a folding chair at Quartzsite that had a back that reclined a couple of positions and was very comfortable. They lasted about two years and we would just replace them. Eventually, they quit selling them.

Recently, some one on here recommended these Timber Ridge chairs. They're great. The back reclines a few clicks and the front legs are adjustable for uneven sites. The chair is rated to 300 pounds and has all nut and bolt connections versus cheap rivets.

I've bought 2 zero gravity chairs. The first was bought online and doesn’t fit me at all, but it makes a nice chair for larger friends. The second fits nicely - I bought it because it fit me! The only thing I don’t like is having to step on that round bar while getting in and out. Why don’t they flatten that part? I'm considering attaching a board to make a footrest when I get to where I have access to more tools.

Anyone know of a zero gravity chair without that bar?

You might want to check this out, I think you may be
able to do better on the pricing, but it is a nice chair.

Here is the one that I like. https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p...drctrschrnwodr

It is a bit heavier, wider, and a couple of inches taller than many of the cheaper chairs like the Harbor Freight flat chairs. The only downside is that coffee cup holder hole is too small for any coffee cup that I own. The tray is hard plastic (not the crappy particle board). The back is fabric and fairly taught for back support. If you have a Dicks Sporting Goods nearby perhaps you could try it out before making a decision.

BTW, I can not use the umbrella folding chairs because they are too tough to get out of and it hurts my back. With the one mentioned, I have no problems getting off of it.

Are you off your rocker?

My wife and I both find the GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker Chair to be quite comfortable. Available at Dick's Sporting Goods - https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p...frstylrckrxodr
