Outside Storage Ideas

As we await for the arrival of our 2015,Cayon Star 3921 I was wondering what modifications to outside storage compartments have you all made. I would love some pictures of your ideas such as slide outs, tool boxes or any other neat ideas.

Congratulations on the purchase. Did you but it from Diamond RV?

I have a 2005 Kountry Star. One thing I did was wire in some #10 straight from the house batteries and added a Compact Appliance portable freezer. It is not on a slide and I braced it in there with some wood. Works great. I originally installed to carry my dog's raw frozen food but as that was consumed my wife started buying all kinds of different breads and food items unique to the area we were traveling. I think this was a good addition if you have a small house freezer.

Shelves

I added three storage shelves to split the compartments in half horizontally.

Almost doubles what I can store.

I jury rigged a pair of hangers about 3" below the frame on my unit. I slide my step ladder on them and the rest of the storage area is available for other "necessities".

Have a nice day - Darrel

A few upgrades

I installed a 32" flat screen on an articulating arm in one bin. I added a 3 drawer tool box to another. ( I am a tool nut) I installed 16 color LED's to the slide out. Installed a sticky tile back splash. Added a Onyx SiriusXM radio. A blue tooth cell phone speaker. Converted all storage bay lights to LED's and two LED fluorescent conversions in the galley.

I bought three 5" x 5" vinyl fence post sleeves with end caps at Home Depot, painted them black, and mounted them transverse on the bottom of the coach frame just forward of the rear wheels. Very useful for storing long narrow things.

I did the same but only one and didn't bother to paint it. I keep my folding ladder in it.
