On mine the west side is almost fully covered. The south side is about 60 percent covered.

In the Southwest USA the wind, rain and the most of the damaging sun comes from the west.....

If you cover the whole thing then you have more of a chance for the wind causing some damage. With some air movement through the cover it is less likely to blow away........At least that's my hope........

For those of you that store your motorhome outside, how is it holding up to the elements?

We store our motorhome for 4-6 months (winter) in a storage lot in Central Fl. We have been using the same space for seven years. We opted for covered storage - the facility offers both covered and open storage. During this time we have observed several rvs that have also been stored there for long periods of time. There is definitely a noticeable difference in those stored under cover and those not covered. The ones not covered seem to look older faster (faded finish, etc). Even though open storage is less expensive by about half, we would never consider changing.

4 years ago I sold my 1990 Safari that had been an AZ coach for all its life when I bought it. Never covered just washed and waxed on a regular basis (wash when dirty & wax every year). I had it in MI for 5 years. The new owner asked about a cover and when I told him why it looked so good he decided not to buy one.
