Outside TV question

why do the manufacturers insist on making the outside TV run only on shore power ?many times I'd like to use it dry camping but have to run the generator to use it. Someone please tell me the logic behind this.

What kind of RV do you have? Your signature needs to list your rv info.

Mine works using the inverter and I would think they all should.

Ours works on the Inverter, it's all a matter of how it was wired.

You can install a small inverter to run the outside TV for little cost or replace your TV with a 12 volt model, but they are a bit pricey.

I installed a 800 watt inverter up front overhead area. The 12 volt wiring was already there just had to install fuse. Then I installed a 110 volt outlet were satellite box is located and TV to plug in. On instrument panel I installed a on off switch and now I can run it on 12 volts. For the back TV I have a small inverter for it.
