Hi...My brother-in-law just bought a pre-owned 2005 5th wheel, and paid for a uv protection coating called "perma-plate". Has anyone bought this system. I think he paid over $1000.00 for a one time application that is supposed to last 5 years. What do you think. lenOrge

Any time I hear of these one time merical coatings, I immediately start thinking about snakes and oil.

He needs to read the fine print on the warranty. I bet there is a requirement to have the finish cleaned or rejunivated every six to 12 months.

I think the dealer made $950 on that option.
