Picked up new Winnie. Whoa!!!!!
Well we picked up our new '16 Winnebago 31be.
Drove it from Tucson on I-10 east.
Holy cow! What an experience that was! This is our first class A. As soon as I approach the on ramp, a massive amount of wind noise at the front lower corner of the drivers window. Wife states she hears the same on her side, but not as loud as the drivers side. We can barely hold a conversation without raising our voices.
At our first stop, I check the window from the outside to look for the problem, expecting to find a gaping hole, based on the sound of it. Well what i DO find is that the weep hole covers, (flimsy plastic snap on) had fallen off. Drivers side was missing 3 of 4 covers. I check the passenger side and find 1 cover missing.
So I borrow one from passenger side and placed it on the fixed window forward-most slot, and the other remaining one, on the second slot. Whew! problem solved! Not completely, but significantly.
Does anyone have a solution to this issue? I can't be the only one with this problem!
Oh, and another thing...
It steered like a boat!

Those weep hole covers do an amazing job. And if they are missing, you know it! Simple fix. Get some more and clip them on.
There are a lot of after-market items which significantly improves your coach handling, such as trac bars, sway bars, etc. They do work. It's a cost issue with the OEM's why it's not standard.
Research this forum, and you will find good advice on how to improve the handling of your coach. It's a big box going down the road. It won't handle like a BMW, but it can be improved to handle better than when it's shipped from the factory.

Small dot of silicone under the leading edge when installing. Runs quieter, and won't fall out easily... washing coach etc.

I lost some weep hole covers. I siliconed the replacements ( a small amount ) and never lost another one.

Are ALL the holes necessary? Can I just leave 1 on each window?

You'll get that wind noise on the ones that are left uncovered. It's annoying and unnecessary.

I noticed one missing on our 2015 Encounter, are these dealer items or in the RV accessory catalog to purchase?

Use some 1 inch or wider tape to cover the area. Do not press the tape into the small slot so they can still drain. The tape is barely visible and much quieter than the plastic noise makers.

Once you get loaded and weighed you can adjust your tire pressures, that helps with the steering quite bit.
