Pinhole leak in the inlet tube of an Atwood Water Heater

I just picked up my 2005 Itasca Horizon 40AD from the mechanic who was doing an oil change and replacing a leaking coolant reservoir and flushing the coolant, and the said that my fresh water tank was leaking. So I got it home and found out that the intake valve has a pinhole leak.

Anyway, I was wondering what the intake valve is made of. Is it steel or aluminium - in other words can I weld it myself?

Any other ideas on how to repair it?
