Please help!

I'm buying an RV tomorrow, but I was just wondering, what chassis is better? The ford or the chevy? Different people say that the chevy is better, I need opinions please, which one is more prone to break down?
It's a 97 fleetwood pacearrow V8 35 footer...
Any opinion would help, tell me your experience with each one, please and thank you..

Both are fine. Anyone who claims one is superior to the other is incorrect. Much more important is the actual condition of the chassis/coach. How it was cared for, service records, etc. On ANY motorhome that old, expect to spend money on unseen problems, updates, etc. I guesstimate you should have at least $5,000 in reserve funds available in addition to purchase price.

Just my opinion, but I would look for a V10. I like ford. I also like apples, oranges not so much, so there you go ford or chevy, apple or oranges...

I think it's more like--I like Gala apples and you like Washington apples.

I think Washington produces Gala apples among many other varieties.

We've never owned a MH with a Chevy/Workhorse in it, but that's only because we bought it for the layout inside.

You have two threads going on the same subject. Better overall response if you keep them under one thread.

I prefer Chevy, had a Winnebago Chevy, and now have. Newmar, Workhorse. Do your homework....current maintenance and condition...along with the floor plan that makes the DW happy.

Neither !!!

The Roadmaster 8 or 10 bag chassis's are great but the S-Chassis aka Semi-Monocoque is by far the best in the industry.

You won't find anything better anywhere.

Just my opinion.

Wow, a little late to start asking these kind of questions if you are buying tomorrow.

I would either just flip a coin or put off your purchase until you can do more research.

ford didnt take any federal dollars, nor did ford file bankruptcy leaving many suppliers up the creek. You know what you can do with your chevy
