If I plug my Class A DP into 110 volts while in(covered) storage, will that charge all my batteries (chassis and engines) at a low rate thru my inverter or should I purchase a Battery Tender and connect it to my chassis batteries and one for my engine battery. Will keeping it plugged into 110v will that "wear out" my onboard inverter.

Best way to check is by using a voltmeter, plug into shore power then check voltage at battery terminals if reading is 13vdc+ they're getting charged. If reading is only 12.5 or less they're not being charged. Check both engine battery and house batteries.

It will be fine. Many folks do just this. Assuming your chassis batteries charge from shore power.

It depends on your converter (charger) for the house batteries. IF it's a constant voltage converter, then it could boil the batteries dry. If it's a three stage converter that goes to float charge once the batteries are fully charged, then you will be just fine. Not all coaches charge the chassis batteries from shore power, so you will have to confirm that.

If you haven't tried it yet, you may find that the outlet in the storage is GFCI protected.

Although you may see a lot of " Mine works on GFCI " replies, there is a chance that your RV will trip the GFCI device. Some just do.

If that happens, you may be better served by using a battery tender.

If the GFCI doesn't trip, in the first few days, using the Inverter/Charger will work fine.

Look thru the manual for a way to limit its 120 volt draw to less then 5 to 10 amps. That may keep the circuit breaker from tripping. You may be sharing that outlet with someone else.

Just to clarify.
Chassis and Engine batteries are one in the same and provide power to the motor.
Coach or house batteries are one in the same and provide power to the coach.

Please correct me if I’m wrong.
