If that's a standard size pipe (1/4 3/8 1/2 or 3/4 od)you could cut the pipe back a couple of inches replace the nut then use a shark bite fitting to repair the pipe. Shark bite fittings are available at Home Depot they just slip onto the pipe very simple to use and can be removed easily if needed for future repairs.
I second this idea. Shark Bite fittings just slip on and they are a one way fit. Once slipped on they are water tight. There is a very inexpensive little tool the allows you to remove the fitting if it is ever needed. Put a Shark Bite on either end with a short piece in between the fittings and you are home free.
