mine are accuride wheels and they have zero clear coating
i would seek the best answer from alcoa
but i used mothers paste alum polish and a foam wheel on a cordless drill
with lots of soft cotton rags to wipe off the black oxide as you polish.
i found when mine had their first polish to do a light deep clean, on all four
then go back and do a deep polish a few days later, so i didn't get worn out and have three wheel dirty and one all clean.....going down the road

[QUOTE=powerboatr;724936]DW said I am rear end retentive over the wheels
That's close to the word DW uses when I'm cleaning/polishing rims.
See what Cdn-Tx started. Now we're coming out of the closet.
RJay, I'll bet most of these guys already have a bike. Ours is a 01 Kow Vulcan Classic 1500. Sweet ride.

If you really want to get anal about it make the final buff with plain water, it gets shiny and slick enough that road splatter won't leave water spots after they dry. It far outlasts waxing them in any conditions.

wheels
Hey guys, I have asked several "dealers" about this and they didn't have any help. We had a blow out and the dufess that came out and changed the tire didn't put anything between the wheel and his crowbar so I have a lot of scratches on the wheel. Any idea how or even IF I can get them buffed out??

The rims look excellent.
FWIW, check the lens. They should have a series of letters and numbers starting with T on them.
I thought about doing the same thing on ours and did a search using the numbers found my Monaco and found the fronts are from a late model Dodge truck and the rears are from a late model Ford F 150.
Just a suggestion.

The wheels look real good and hey, polishing them gives you a good reason to consume the adult beverages. Its not your fault, they just go hand in hand!

That's why the 47 beers. Also teaches you how to use a buffer/ drill whilst flat on your back..
