Poll: Did you keep your Class A Mudflap (Ad-flap) on?
Please vote in this poll if you *have* or _had_ a full-width "mudflap" aka "adflap" on your rig...
I see a lot of discussion on this, and am very curious as to the actual % who keep them vs. the # that remove them.
Thanks!!

Mine lasted 5 minutes after I picked up Matilda. Pulled thru a Sonny's parking lot to do a u turn and coming out the ground clearance was just not enough. It's at the dealer mangled. Guess I should go pick it up sometime soon.
Being a newbie, are they of any real use?

Kept it on. I love the heritage of this coach and proud to wear the BEAVER name written across the flap.

In this day of everyone wearing clothing that has the manufactures name or logo on it I don't have a problem with Newmar on my mud flap. I have had mine on since I bought it. I've been down some gnarly roads over the years and have not had a ding or window chip.

Class A mudflap
Would not go anywhere without ours. First couple of trips before we had one, front of toad was a mess. Ordered ours from Tiffin and installed it myself.
Keeps all road debris off the toad.

Interesting... first early results aren't quite tracking with what I had perceived as the quantities of each class in previous IRV2 threads.
I hope we get 50-100 responses over time so that the sample size grows towards significance.
Thx to all!

I thought the DOT required them due to the size of the tires but that is old school info from like the 70s so....
We have ours, Its not the original winnebago its an ultraguard and has been near scraped off several times but has held up well. I drive behind our motorhome pretty regularly I have watched it keep the rocks from getting kicked up. Wouldn't really want to be the cause of taking out someones windshield just because something is less attractive or irritating to deal with. Plus it protects the undersides from stuff getting kicked up.

My Newmar one is hard rubber held up by chains. It rides low to the ground and stops all rock from hitting my toad. Taking it off would guarantee that all stones would bounce up.
Why would anyone take it off?

Took mine off. No damage since removed. Minor chips prior to removal. Toad does get dirtier than it used to.

Newmar's name is in several places on my coach, but the Ad Flap is gone. No problem since.

Had to replace ours after 2nd trip. Gator found our coach and ripped and bent the flat. The iron backing was bent bad and the flap ground down some from driving. At the time we did not have a toad but made me realize that gator would have gotten a toad instead of being deflected by the flap so got it replaced. No chipping problems on the toad yet that I have noticed.

Mine got more and more bent and harder and harder to straighten, so after finding it dragging behind me on one chain once again, enough was enough and it ended up in the next dumpster.
Pretty sure my fuel consumption improved by at least 4 mpg since then
