I had the same problem with mine. Not only was it a pain to clean and handle it left a lot to be desired as a grill. It nows takes up space in my basement at home.

Interesting post. I've been thinking seriously about buying one of the Coleman grills. I had thought I would line the bottom with foil to catch most of the drippings and make it easier to clean. I may try the Walmart one instead. It doesn't look bad except for the fact that you really need to set it on a table or stand of some type.

Be careful the aluminum foil and the Roadtrip… Been there done that, too close, the grease caught on fire. I carry two inexpensive folding tables with me. 0ne 5’ aluminum from Camping World and the other an adjustable height 20X30”one from Big Lots, $14.99 I think. Both fold flat and ride under our chairs.

We bought this one and love it, Napoleon TravelQ (TQ2225). Compact, lots of heat and easy clean up. Liked it so much bought it's big brother for home.
