Gdlow,
We are in Yuma for the winter in our MH. I solved the water problem by installing an under sink reverse osmosis filter system. A little pricey (about $300) but since we full time and expect to keep the coach for a while it's worth it to me. If you are in the Yuma area, PM me and I can turn you on to a reputable company that does this.

Gdlow, when we first go out to Apache Junction, we noticed how hard the water was also and invested in a small whole house water softner called the Water Boss. THat was almost three years ago and we have hauled it and used it ever since. It has performed very well and saved not only our plumbing but we use less detergents and things too!
