Power Gear fluid Sensor Replacement

I need to replace the power gear leveling system fluid sensor. I know how to do it I just cant find the part or a substitute. It is power gear # 50018 for the kit or # 50019 for just the sensor. Anyone know of a source for this part or a substitute part.

Thanks,
Russell Mack 1997 Fleetwood, Southwind

Have you contacted Power Gear (Lippert Components) to see who they recommend to get replacement parts from?

Fluid Sensor new P/N 359500

Thanks, I did just that. They told me the new part # is 359500 and in stock. Bad news is it cost $144.64 with a whopping $15 shipping. You can fit 3 into a coffee cup. I looked around and found one at American RV Company for $127.94 and $7.77 shipping. This should fix the Jacks Down buzzer on all the time and hopefully the Low Power light coming on and shutting down the system.

I bought a right rear stabilizer leg ($800+-) from these people 2 years ago. They also have your part. for $115.29, but I don't know about shipping.

Please keep us posted as I'm sure many of us will be int the same boat someday.
Thanks!

Hi Russell,
Just noticed you are from Michigan. Small world, we are currently at a State Park in Cadillac, Michigan working our way northward and around this state for the next 5 weeks.

Glad everything is working out for you. Hope the part is the fix!

Russell, when you receive your switch I'd like to know how the install went. I have a 98 Pace Arrow that I bought 3 years and the PO owner put a new float switch in prior to my purchase but cracked it while trying to tighten it. I know the instructions mention how to do it but apparently a little tightening may have been too much. Now I have a constant seeping of fluid from around this switch. Hate to buy one if I cannot get it installed properly without any seepage.

The float switch is most likely made by Gem Switches. Does the switch look similar to this one for $36.00. There is several others for that same price on their Web site.
