Power levelers do not extend - Pump Solenoid or Motor?

Power Gear levelers wont extend. 2005 National Sea Breeze 34A . All I hear is a clicking sound at the main pump solenoid. The service tech says that there is power to the pump soleniod so wants to replace the main pump motor ($500 + $300 labour) The levelers did work twice since then but very infrequently so I am suspitious of the pump soleniod AND/OR the main pump motor. Any Ideas? I have checked all of the connections etc adont know what else to do. How do I know if it is the pump soleniod or the pump motor itself? Please help?

Also anyone know where to buy these parts online?

Thanks in advance.

John

A pair of jumper cables around the solenoid will test and prove if the motor is OK,.

If you have power to the motor and it does not run, then yes, the motor is bad. $500 sounds too high for just the motor. Sounds more like the pump and motor assmy. together.
labor would be about right for changing the motor and pump assmy. but again too high for just replacing the motor. Should be able to do so in 1 hour. This does not include diagnostic time.
