Question Precision Control Auto Gen Start Problem

We own a 2011 Holiday Rambler Ambassador that was purchashed 11/11 so it is still under warranty. Since day one the Auto Gen Start with Quiet time feature does not work. The Gen starts several times but then goes off. We took into the dealer immediately and they contacted Precision Control that manufactures the box that does all of these things. They stated almost a year ago that they were working on a filter to correct the problem, and 11 months later they are still working on it. The company claims that the problem was caused by Monaco by placing the unit too close to the inverter.
Any one out there had this same problem? Trying to get this corrected before our warranty ends, and would like to be able to use the AGS with quiet time feature.

Hello azmtnguys and . We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. I am sure you will like it here. Good luck, stay safe and keep us posted.
Keep all of your work order copies and ask for this item to be repaired at no charge when the fix is provided; even beyond the warranty expiration date. Call Presion COntrol yourself and follow up on the progress and get your name and coach on the list of needed fixes. They may be able to send the filter straight to you and you may (or may not) be able to install it yourself.

Have the same issue with my 2012 Tiffin Allegro Bus. Manufactured 08/2011. For the time being I have bypassed the share circuit program and my AGS works fine. But like you, still waiting for a fix. Maybe it's time to call George Cepynski again.

Thanks for your response. I was told if you bypass that your inverter will not modify your needs if you are plugged into anything less than 50 amp so I chose not to do that, as many parks only have 30 amp.
I have called George several times and this last time his attitude was " oh well" and they keep trying to build a filter that does not work.
If you do hear anything please let me know.
Thanks again!

Bypassing the control unit in the breaker panel does only that. Inverter still selects for the correct ampherage according to my panel readout. Did speak with George again yesterday and received a pretty good explanation of what they have done to eliminate this problem. First it has been difficult to diagnose due to so few coaches having the problem. The setup you and I have runs all the inverter data through the PCI unit as well as all the PCI info. In a sense the unit is in series with all the communication going on in the entire system. The new PCI system sits as the AGS does. Off to the side. It is only used when needed. Now all the extraneous data is not running through the PCI system and is clearing up the information stream to only what is needed.
