We stayed in three different Provincial Parks, Brudenell River in the south near Georgetown, Cabot Beach in the central near Malpeque and Mill River in the north near O'Leary, four to five days in each park in the summer of 2006. All three parks were extremely clean and much nicer than most of the US State Parks we have visited during our 35 years of camping/RVing.

We stayed at Sun-N-Shade in Borden-Carlton near the Confederation Bridge. Nice and quiet; satellite friendly sites available which can be hard to find this far north. Not a lot to do at this location but chill out. We would stay here again.

Thanks Frank for local input. We've booked Twin Shores in Kensington. Any
suggestions as to what not to miss on PEI, and what to avoid ?
Thanks
Mac

Although I can't suggest a campground, I will suggest that you try to attend a performance by this group : Hedgerow - LAST SHOW OF THE SUMMER! : Harmony House Theatre - live music in Hunter River PEI

The link is for a show in late 2009. I'm not sure that they're still performing, but IF they are, they'll provide you with an entertaining look into life, in general, and life on PEI, in specific. About a two hour show of storytelling and music.

Perhaps ShannyFE can find out if/where/when Hedgerow will be performing for the 2011 season.

Take care,
Stu

You can have a quick look at this site http://pei.discoveranywheremobile.co...3502546cc670b/ any provincial park is good. Twin shores has a nice campground. If there is anything else just let me know.

Cheers

Frank
