DEF

We can fuel up from both sides. That's why we can pull into the pumps backward and fill diesel fuel first, then pull forward to fill DEF, which is in an inconvenient place toward the rear of the coach. Also difficult to fill without a spill as there is usually no auto shutoff on DEF nozzles.

Re: Magnet.....Some DEF pumps won't dispense DEF unless the nozzle senses a metal ring (tank opening). To defeat nozzle, they sell a metal ring you can use while filling plastic containers.

AT Pilot they will loan you a magnetic ring for the plastic container. I plan to buy one.

Every pump I have used has had an auto shutoff. Have others had problems with the pump not shutting off? If so, I should stop relying on it to auto shut off ...

we don't use truck stops

and we don't have any problem filling our DEF

we just use the walmart 2 1/2 gallon containers
can fill anytime, anywhere
and keep an extra in the basement

the one time I tried to fill DEF at a truck stop early on in
our motor coach life, I realized really quickly that this was
not something I would subject myself to ever again...

Just cut a short piece of exhaust tube from your local muffler shop scrap heap. In fact make two!!

Ours has DEF on both sides but this advice is VERY good.
