I have a 2009 Country Coach Inspire 43 foot with a 10 Kw Onan gen set with the Kobuta diesel. Last week I went to start the generator, it turned over half a turn and everything went dead like a fuse blew ?? So I've been checking fuses and circuit breakers anywhere that I can find one, but have had no luck yet ??? are there any circuit breakers or fuses on the Gen set it's self ?? or is there a hidden fuse someplace that I may not have looked ???

Might not be the same but my 7.5 has 2 fuses hidden under the small front cover above the start button. There is a little sticker that explains the location of the fuses. I believe I have to pull the radiator cap/neck assembly and the fuses come out with them. They are each contained in a fuse holder with cover.

Did you try using the boost button?
If your gen uses the house batteries to start, mabe they are low, and the chassis batteries will help.

I think 96 may have it... with my old batteries, that's exactly what it would do...
it would just turn a couple of times and go pffft

got to the point I would not only have to hold the boost button for 10 seconds or so, but also start therv and idle up to give them some 'charge'...

checked your distilled water in your batteries ?

sorry, not suggesting as if you don't know, just these are the things that I failed at already

I recently had a similar issue, I disconnected and cleaned bothe ends of the house battery terminals including the terminals that go to circuit breakers in the compartment behind the batteries. Mine is a 2000 Intrigue.

Another thing to check. Have you tried to start it at the generator start button. The interior start switch can get corroded at the connection near the generator and cause an issue.

In my DEF compartment; I had a 150 amp fuze blown. Napa for $7.00 fixed the issue.

There are indeed fuses or breakers inside the control panel on most generators but your problem is more likely a blown connection somewhere.

Hook a volt meter to the 12 volt positive bolt on the generator (make sure the nut is tight) Red lead to the red capped bolt, black to the generator chassis, Observe meter while you attempt to start.

Then grab (if necessary) a screwdriver.

Many RVers have a few screws loose.. and there are many loose nuts as well.. (The kind you tighten with a screwdriver or wrench in both cases).
