problem with water pump

We are in cold Pa. So I've been filling the water tank disconnecting the water hose and using our water pump. Problem is it occasionally slows down and has stopped a few times. I go out and tap it and it comes right back on. Then it works fine for several days. Has anyone else had this problem? Coach is 06 Itasca 36g

So I am guessing that it cycles properly when you turn the faucets on and off.

Is the problem when you are continually running the water (like taking a shower) the pump slows down and stops ?

I would check the sediment strainer that is on the inlet side of the pump.

Next check the ground connection along with all the electrical connections.

That's weird. The wires hook onto the pump with 1/4" spade connectors. You might try re-crimping the wires in the connectors and wiggling the wires when they're connected to the male spade.. maybe the female ends need pinched together to tighten them up? Sediment filter empty? If all else is well, I guess a new pump is in order.
