All good advise but don't be scared off.I bought an 89 class a 30' with only 26000 miles on it last year.we moved into it within two weeks and have taken it on a 2200 mile trip and now we are still living in it.Not one problem, everything works like new.I did replace the u-joints and fixed a water leak from the front running lights now all is well.My old norcold fridge has been running since last Oct. and is perfect. So don't give up

I'm more familiar with cars than RVs along the topic of vehicle storage. It used to be many seals were paper based and would dry out if engine was not used regularly creating leaks; oil, tranny, antifreeze, brake. I would drive it long enough to heat it up and then inspect for any leaks. A big concern would be the water pump bearings as sitting in water solution for so long. Next would be radiator corrosion. Many times a radiator flush will cause a corroded radiator to spring multiple leaks. I'd flush out all fliuids with new then use it for a while till you trusted all the systems.

IMO, there are few place I would buy a RV was stored a long time unless stored in a climate controlled garage,. Any place that has a lot of humidity degrade just about everything. I think north TX, NM, AZ, OK, KS would be good places to buy RV stored a long time.
