Progressive Insurance
Signed up last year as a USAA member. Premium seemed ok at the time but just got my renewal and it went up over 30%. Not happy and looking for an alternative. Any Ideas?

I had a big increase from Blue Sky and switched to State Farm who insures the rest of my stuff. Read the Progressive policy carefully as they have some strange exclusions. When I had progressive, some kind of rodent chewed my chassis wiring harness to the tune of a $2,500 repair. Guess what? Excluded!

I also just recently received my Progressive renewal notice that I obtained thru USAA. It went up, but not by very much. I logged onto National General for a quote - it was nearly double what I pay for progressive. I'll stay with Progressive and hope I never need it for anything.

I had the same exact experience. National General was the highest priced of all the quotes I received.

Won't use Progressive on principle. Have National General until June. They went up 10%, so shopped around. Geico came in 20% less and seems to have less complaints than I have read about with National General, h nice my switch.

Well, no. I have carefully read my policies after the Progressive mistake.

I went with National General through the Good Sam Insurance program as a full-timer. I could get insurance cheaper, but it seemed when I talked with the agent he really seemed to understand the RV lifestyle and how it differs from just an automobile or home owners. Not only did he point things out he took the time to explain differences in coverage types etc. Day 1 here but will see how it goes.

I was just reading the disclaimers on the Good Sam RV insurance site and it listed as an unacceptable risk (or something like that) any vehicle valued at over $150K.
