Propane Tank Issues

The on/off valve on the propane tank of my 1997 SeaBreeze doesn't leak when it's all the way on or when it's all the way off. In between it sputters out propane. I'm pretty sure that's not OK.

Can anyone suggest places to have that fixed beside Camping World?

I would not worry about it .That valve is a back-sealing valve which means it will seal when it is either fully closed or fully open and should not be used in a partly open position. This is also standard procedure on oxy/acetylene welding cylinders as well.

Take a wrench and snug up the packing nut that's right behind the valve knob, sounds like the "O" ring is leaking and snugging up the nut should solve the problem.

If tightening the nut doesn't stop the leak the best place to have it repaired is at a propane dealer that does residential tank installs and repairs. Most RV places wouldn't have a clue of what to do, besides replace the tank. Or just do as suggested, either have the valve all the way open against the back seat or all the way shut.
