Propane Tank Regulator
Just finished some minor painting on the propane tank. Every once in a while I get a faint whiff of propane. I think the regulator may need to be changed. The Camco is made in China. Does anyone know of an american pressure regulator? All the companies that carry the Marshall state they are "out of stock", which may indicate they are no longer in business. The only other I found was Cavagna.

Marshall brass used to be the #1 choice in regulators, Alas, last time I visited the company web page no mention of that product line existed.. A great loss, cause they were the best. Made in Michigan their products were.

Confirmed they shut their doors. What a shame. The Camco is definitely made in China. Not sure what other options are out there but there are some bad reviews on Amazon about the Camco product.

Might try some Teflon tape made for gas if that's where it's leaking. Squirt some soapy water to pin point the leak.

Try PPL Motorhomes parts ( RV Parts and Accessories for Sale - PPL Motor Homes). They may still have some Marshall's in stock.

Mine was spewing propane out the vent on the bottom! I couldn't find anything except the Camco to replace it!

The odd thing is it is very faint so I don't know if I have a true leak or if it is just the vent. Isn't it supposed to vent something, otherwise why would it be there?

There's a company called Ray Murray in Massachusetts. They deal with everything propane. I'm in the propane business and that's were I buy my regulators.

Most LP distributors, (there are three in my small home town), have 2 stage pressure regulators on hand, (although not necessrraly American made).
Be sure the one you buy will have the perforated vent opening on the bottom, (not on the side), when mounted on your coach.
BTW, if you refuse to buy anything "made in China" you won't have much.

Ended up with a Marshall-Excelsior. Company is in Marshall, MI. Didn't say made in USA, but didn't say made in China either.

Doesn't a product have to say "made in China" if it is?
