I have a 10k QD in my 97, but think they had been around before that?

For our use case it was a no-brainer to avoid LP generators. We often end up dry camping at racetracks -- think in the summer of how hot it gets and you are effectively in an unshaded parking lot. On Labor Day weekend we could easily run the generator 3 hours driving to the track, 12 hours a day at the track, and 3 hours home. Even with a full 75 gallon LP tank... that's pretty touch and go (and assumes you are topped off before you start). With gasoline or diesel, it's relatively easy to arrive at the track with more than enough fuel to make it a non-issue.

SteveLevin, forgot about the races. I have trackside parking at Pocono in the August race. That is 4 days, and tickets to the August race at Bristol which is a whole week. Arrive Sunday to get a good spot at the campgrounds and don't leave till the next Sunday. You are right, its is a no-brainer for me as well to go diesel, just got to figure out ways to do it. Thanks

The only way I would go propane is if I didn't think I'd need a genny often. For occasional use the propane would work - though it would be a big factor when valuing the coach?
My LP powered 6.3 kw Onan runs quietly at 1800 rpm.
BTW, I would have preferred a diesel, but for me, LP was not a deal breaker.
IMO, it's imposable to find everything you prefer in one coach, some compromises must be made, (or you will never buy).
