Proud Parents of New Motorhome!

I am new to this forum and just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my post regarding which decision to make when choosing an rv. I am proud to announce that we have made our decision and are now the proud parents of a 2012 Tiffin Allegro 34TGA. Boy she is a beauty! We were torn which way to go, gas or diesel. My husband really liked the diesel pusher but a new one was not an option for our budget. We had looked at a 2007 Monaco Knight for $119,000 and only had 1500 miles on it. Great buy but had a funky smell towards the back bathroom. My worst nightmare was a leak or that we would not be able to get the smell out. We liked the idea of the bath and a half. That was great and I had remembered a few of you said that when looking it was a factor for you. I see why. I see it coming in handy. We also looked at an '07 Holiday Rambler that was nice, but my mind kept shifting back to the facts. 1.) We weren't going to be using it enough to justify the expense difference as far as the maintenance or 2.) the ride making a big difference since most of the time we were only traveling an hour from home. I was more comfortable in the new gas rv for the fact that it had a warranty and there was no funky smells! So after seeing the new Tiffin again, my husband was tag teamed and persuaded in the 2012 Tiffin purchase. I am looking forward to making a trip to New Orleans for a Saints' ballgame! I knew when looking for an it was going to be a difficult decision since it is almost as expensive as a house purchase. When looking around I figured that when the right one came along, I would just know it and feel it. I never did looking at the diesels, especially the new ones, knowing it might be a financial struggle and I could never truly enjoy it. I believe we got a good deal on this one and told my husband that we should see how often we use it and later finding out we use it alot, would trade in for a new diesel. So I'm glad we have that large hurdle behind us and maybe we can get down to enjoying it! I just hope my husband doesn't get buyers' remorse and won't allow himself to enjoy it because he is wishing he should have gotten the diesel. I say, "Don't look at the past. Just enjoy the future and what it has to offer". This is my new outlook being a cancer survivor and going through treatments last year. 2012 is going to be great!
