did any of you just trim the carpet at the edge of the slide???????if so how did you do the laminate in this area...our slide is not high enough to get anything to cut the carpet from under the slide... please help as we have started and there is no turning back....thanks

I brought the slide in a couple inches to give it room to go up in the opening. Then outside I used a length of plank on the track with a piece of wood between it and the underfloor to protect the surface.Lift and put blocks to hold the slide up.Then inside I used a flat bar and a lot of patience to lift and pull.Long pliers helped pull some fibers and don't forget the patience.
