We had NO CLU about Newmar when we ordered our 2008 BAY STAR 2901, but must say, that we got a very good model. The ONLY thing, that needed a repair was the ONAN Generator this summer.

After purchasing 2 new Itasca Suncruisers, our next one will be either a Tiffin or Newmar. At one time Winnebago was one of the quality manufacturers but after owning these two I must disagree. My '06 is beginning to show cracks in the fiberglass, windshield leaks due to rust, and the front and rear caps are creeping showing a 1/8"-1/4" vertical white gaps in the full body paint, with under 21,000 miles. I've worked all my life in the back end of GM dealerships so I don't expect anything to be without its defects but what I've seen in these coaches rivals GM's quality problems in the 80's.

On our second Thor/Fourwind Windsport and for what we paid over what we would have to pay for a winnie we feel the Windsport is equal to our pocket. Unless we buy a diesel with air ride etc. the ride and floor plan on our 2008 35' 3 slide Windsport is great. We feel a Winnie should be better for the extra cost. Love the Ford F53 and the 362 HP v10.
