We presently have a 1994 Coachmen Santara 32' which we love, but are looking at "full time" and want more space and reliability.
We are researching to move up to much higher quality, maybe older but with air brakes,air ride possibly Jake brake, rear engine. Possibly on a bus chassis or purpose built chassis, and built like a bus so it does NOT shake apart!!
Suggestions please.

You might want to check out some mid to late 90's Newells, Bluebirds, Prevost or MCI bus conversions. You might also check out Foretravelsl even though it's not a bus type they're a great quality coach.

I know you are interested in a bus chassis, but we have lived fulltime for over a year in a 40' Winnebago Tour (on a Freightliner chassis) and have had great results with minimal problems. I suspect coaches have come a long ways in quality in the last 10 to 15 years since I had our first one.
I have seen some good deals lately on BlueBirds, Newells, & Prevosts. Do your homework and you just might find what you are looking for at a great price.
