Quartzite in Jan

I here there is a huge RV show in Quartzite in January. 1st. time buyer (A class) looking for used in the $30k range. Any input as to where to start looking vs. just wandering around?
Thanks in advance for any reply's.

I dont think I would buy an RV in Quartzsite, unless I absolutely knew the history of the vehicle, and it was priced comparably with other like units across the country, but it is a good place to look at a variety of floorplans.
YMMV

Jim.....During the winter, Quartzsite has about 100000-150000 snow birds staying there. During the rest of the year, there are probably about 7000 residents if I'm recalling correctly. During the winter, several RV dealers show up and try to unload their used coaches they can't sell. There are a couple of dealers that bring new inventory. During the rest of the year, they're all gone.

So, as stated above, it's probably not the place to buy a used RV unless you are capable of doing your own inspection and know what you're looking for.

FWIW, the Quartzite RV show is more for the guy that already has an RV and looking for accessories that they can't live without. Lots of good things and lots of junk. I bought a 2 KW Honda generator there two years ago and have not seen one priced lower since. Some people like to go there every year, but once every five or six is plenty for me. Actually, once in ten would do it.

Also sales tax is ~10% in Quartzite.

Actually it's not a place to look at RV's in general are there hundreds to thousands for sale from dealers that bring them in from almost 500 miles away. They are all over the place once you get away from the tent area.

The ones we saw at QZ several years ago were in questionable condition.
