Question for 2001 Islander

My 2001 National Islander has two small solar panels on the roof. My question is: where does the wiring terminate into the 12 volt line? Also, since I cannot find a solar controller, is there a diode in the line to prevent DC voltage from getting to the panels when the RV is under a cover.

Thanks, slofly

Question would best be served posted in the National RV Owners Forum.

If the panels are small, maybe 15-30 watts, then a controller is not needed because the amp output is tiny anyway. There may or may not be a diode in the wiring in that case - that's a degree of refinement that is not typical of the small panels intended only to maintain a battery when not in active use.

I'm not familiar with the solar on a 2001 Islander, so can't be specific about what you have.
