question LP GAS TANK

Hi, can someone help me out? This is going to be hard to explain but.. I just looked into the LP tank compartment and I see the two angle iron rails that are holding up the tank are sloping down on an angle off of the roof of the compartment. There is a split in both of the rails where the left end of the tanks support brackets are connected. It looks like the splits were put there but I dont know. I dont think its supposed to be hanging down in the middle like it is. I am afraid to drive it . It could have been this way since I bought it I never would have noticed. Its a 2003 Tiffen Allegro 32ba on a workhorse W22. Does anyone have any ideas?!

A welding shop can tell you if there is a problem with the install of the tank and if the bracket are loose they can weld it where needed. If you can find a way to strap it to take it to the shop; it might be a good idea.

Maybe a call to Tiffin Customer Service? And then email them a picture so they can see for themselves?
