Question on 12 V solar battery charger

Greetings:

We just shifted from a gas Class A to a diesel. In our gas unit the chassis has a 12V battery and we have a "battery minder" 12V solar panel that we clip to the chassis battery to keep it happy until next use.

Our new unit has two 6V batteries (Freightliner). Can you use the 12V charger on the ganged 6V batteries, as long as you affix the clip to the positive on one battery..and the negative on the other....so that the power is flowing to both.

As you can see....I stink at electricity/electrical....and I have the zaps to provide it!

We don't have power in our storage facility, so this was/is my fix (vs. full-on solar on roof).

Yes, just think of the 2 6v batteries as 1 12v battery as long as the 2 6v batts are wired in series. If not sure what series or parallel is please read:
Trojan Battery Company
Note the pos to neg connection when in series

Thank you. That made sense logically....but I just wanted to double-check that.
