Question selling rig and downsizing or keeping it?

I have. 2008 Monaco Knight. It is a 38 foot pusher. Has been a great rig. Full timed in it since new.

We recently bought a codo in Maine and will not full time any longer. I owe $100k on the rig. Thinking about selling it and maybe getting a smaller rig. 32 or 34 foot gas or diesel.

Considering how much I owe, would you sell it and buy a new smaller rig for $100k or pay off the Monaco and do enhancements to it? Maybe new flooring a residential fridge.

Any bought s out there.

Your choice may depend if your up side down on payoff value, and what you can sell it for.

If by "break even" you mean paying it off, hehe, well, that is ONE way to look at it.

I would think selling a known quantity and buying new or unknown (used) would be a losing proposition personally. If you are going to keep a "rig", keep the one you have.

If you decide to sell and buy a cheaper gasser, there is a REALLY NICE ONE in the Classifieds Class A section LOL
