Radiator Question

I have enclosed two pics of the radiator expansion tank on our 20213 Berkshire.

Biggest problem is the cap can not be removed due to the brace for the rear slide being almost on top of the cap.
Cap can loosened but not removed.
Does anyone on here with a 2013 Berkshire MH have the same problem and how was it corrected?
Thanks.

Well Sir, I can't zoom in on either of those pics to see just what kind of structural steel/brackets are in the way of you removing your cap. But, I'd look for all possible ways of roving it BEFORE you do what I might do. And, based on possible consequences of this suggested action, I might just take a saber saw with a metal blade and, cut just enough of a relief in the metal above the cap, to remove it.

AGAIN, if this is the only possible remedy, DO ANALYZE what potential issues you'd have before taking such action. I've been a welder/fabricator for decades so, If I screw something up, I can fix it. But, not all RVers have the tools or ability to do that.

It surely doesn't surprise me that you're in that situation. RV manufacturers are clueless in certain circumstances when it comes to future repairs/issues/potential problems with components etc. This is when I'd like to have enough power to take the owner of the company that made your coach and tell him, "you PERSONNALY get fined a thousand dollars a day" 'till you find a remedy for this customer and the removal of his radiator cap.

But, that's fantasy land. So, in the mean time, in a real world, see if any portions of the brackets above the cap CAN be removed without a SAW.
Scott

Is there more room with slideout extended?
You do know that after turning car part way you have to press down before turning the rest of the way?

I did that. Problem is the pressure will release but there is no room to remove the cap.
Also FWIW, I have sent the same post to Berkshire as I posted here.
Just waiting for an answer. If any.

Mount it on two good quality draw slides so you can pull it out to open/fill/service...

Look at the spray bottle on 1990 GMC/chevy windshield washer bottle...
