Look on eBay or Craigslist for your exact radio as a NEW OLD Stock (NOS) Mine was shot and I found a Brand new exact match in the box with the Alpine seal tape still intact. It may take a while to find a match, but it is easier than changing the wiring to fit a new one. My coach is vintage 1990 Barth. The NOS Alpine sounds fine.

This might help also

If you want to go to a new more popular brand, you'll probably be stuck with rewiring it. It's not that difficult and most all the wires are a standard color. They do make connectors that convert one brand to another. I just don't know if you'll find them for your OEM radio. You can look for the connection harness on line or sometimes, Best Buy will have them in their radio install department.

You also need to know what size radio you have. The "opening" size (height of the face) is measured by DIN size. Usually a small radio is a single DIN and the large GPS models are double DIN.

Pioneer makes nice radios and some nice radio GPS combos.

Replacing Radio

My radio failed. Stopped at Fry's Electronics. Looked at what they had and selected one. Their installer did all the wiring conversion, and we were on the road in less than 2 hours. I think the installation was about $75.00 plus and adapter for the larger hole in the dash.

I would call Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, Pro Audio, 4k TV. If they can't help you nobody can.

I replaced my old radio in my 1999 Bounder.

Not that difficult. Spent more time trying to find the correct adapter for the ford wiring harness. Ended up cutting the factory one off and splicing the new one in.

Works like a champ.

I picked up a Pioneer stereo at Walmart in the clearance section for $59.00.
