Radio Dies

Hi all, doing a reno on my 2002 bounder and have it plugged in to my home receptacle. Listening to the dash radio while working in the MH, the radio dies and the motor battery is dead after a week or so. The radio switch is in park mode and the motor battery is new. All the 12VDC lights are working. A few questions. Wouldn't the radio still run from the coach batteries? If you have the radio on with the coach and motor battery enabled does the radio draw from motor battery? Still trying to figure out how everything works on this baby.
Appreciate some input.

Thanks

yes the dash radio runs off the chassis battery. If your coach batterys are fairly close to chassis battery jut run a jumper wire and it wil charge through the converter same as your coach batterys do now while plugged in

Radio has two power leads. Usually one is to the coach battery for power to operate and one is to the chassis batteries for memory and the clock.
Apparently your coach battery does not charge on shore power. Usually a trickle charge is used.
