May be that there are no AM stations within range. Been there plenty of times. Without more information about your coach and radio it is hard to guess what else might be going on. Did the Am radio work the last time you were in the same place? Does it normally work fine?

For the most part who cares if AM works unless I want a particular station that is only available on AM I will listen off the internet or find a sujitable FM station which will have better sound anyhow.

My antenna was not mounted on a grounded surface and I did not get good AM reception. Had to run a ground wire to antenna base.

Check your antenna connection to radio. FM will work with little or no antenna but AM will not...............ronspradley
