Realm
I have done a lot of looking over the past few months. Foretravel, Newell, Newmar, I think I have settled on the Foretravel Realm. I would like to hear thoughts on this machine. I am very new to RVing and we plan on spending more time in our coach than in our home. It looks like a fantastic machine for the cost. All thoughts and comments are appreciated...

The narrator's fake British accent turned me off, didn't bother to listen to the rest.
I feel I got a lot more value at a fraction of the price on my rig.
Good Luck!
Cheers!

They are built special for Motorhome specialists Inc. to their specs. If I was considering paying that kind of money for the Rolls Royse of MH's, I would go directly to the factory in TX. Foretravel has everything in place to consult with you and build everything to your desires. Go to the Foretravel website and read all about their procedure to design YOUR MH. Foretravel does not make a MH until a customer orders one, thus, they do not have different models, the Realm is specific to MHS.

My parents had a ForeTravel. We couldn't afford one so we got the used Magna. The Foretravels are a great rig, just not sure this model is one I'd buy though.

You would do well to go to TX and look at them in person, with the same critical eye as other brands.
Look under the bed, check the basement compartments. Inspect the paint work.
Then go do the same with American Heritage and Newmar King Aire down the road from the Realm.
Report back.
Foretravel was always my "lottery" coach builder. The Realm does not live up to the rest of the line, not even close. Looked perfect on paper, doesn't live up to the money.

I see a lot of good replies about foretravel. she fell in love with the essex but i think those are way too expensive and i think newmar is a brand where you pay for the name. foretravel seems to have more innovations than newmar and a lot less cost wise.

All 3 realms that we looked at had their MSRP at just over one million dollars. The King Aire and Heritage were both cheaper by about fifty thousand. Both had nicer fit and finish then the Realm. They were all loaded about the same.
The Realm is even in the same league as the IH45 or Nembus, heck even anything else that Foretravel has built. I'm not just bashing Foretravel here, I'm telling you to go look in person and judge for yourself. Look at the gap on the moving floor, not there on Newells, Prevost conversions. See the exposed electrical connections, both in the basement and around the base of the bed. See the tape lines in the paint, the runs, sages and dirt.
All 3 Realms are sitting there with an IH45, compare for yourself.
In my opinion the Realm looks like it was built by a salesman that thinks he can sell anything with the right name. It will be Foretravel's white elephant.

It's hard for me to take your statement as unbiased when your wearing a newmar icon. I love the essesx myself. The Realms I saw advertised were 650k plus all the newmars have that carpet lip.

Why, I'm not telling you to buy a Newmar. I told to shop the only 3 manufactures that have coaches in that dollar, all 3 are 5 miles apart. Those are Foretravel, American and Newmar, those all have coaches right around one million dollars.
Plus, I didn't tell you take my word. I told to not be dazzled be the Foretravel name, go look at it in person with same eye you look at a Newmar.
You've made it clear you're extra critical of Newmar, so I recommend you look at all with that same eye. Heck, after you look at the Realm walk past the IH45 and down to the Entegras to compare fit and finish. Still way above the fit and finish of the Realm. Just well below the price point of coaches you started talking about.
It's your money, spend it how you want.
You asked an opinion about a specific model of coach, I gave you one. How many Realm owners have you talked to?
For your money, I think you would be far happier in a Nimbus. Way better built coach.
