Rear TV

Hi all,
I m going to install a 22" TV in my 2000 Monaco Windsor to replace the 13" that is on a small part f my closet.
I do not have a bedroom slide out.
I bought a Moryde bracket that needs little modifications and I will have enough room between the rear AC return and the entrance door to the bedroom.
I will have to make some holes in the ceiling to pass the wires, but I think I can make a neet thing there.
My only concern is to have enough support for the TV/bracket.
I don't know if there is a rib there or not.
Worst case scenario I will do make a plate of 1/2 plywood with oak veneer for the whole length between the door and the ac return so I can have a better hold of the TV.
I will appreciate if someone knows if there is a rib or if a stud finder will find a steel (it is steel?) rib.
Thanks

Try the stud finder and you'll know. I use one on my rig all the time. Go vertical and horizontal - the people the lay RV's out are NOT carpenters or mechanical engineers.

I replaced the rear TV in our Windsor. I used 2x2's screwed to the top and bottom of the original TV compartment and then ran a piece of plywood between them. I attached a swing style TV mount to the plywood. The TV would sit flush against the cabinet or swing out for better viewing.

I am putting both my TV's on brackets, but I'm afraid they are going to rattle very bad traveling. And they both can slide side to side on the brackets gonna have figure something out on that. Ronnie

I used some metal clamps that are designed to prevent windows from fully opening. They are for "bugler" prevention. They are about 3/4" sq, 2 piece and clamp to any flat surface. To stop rattles I use the fuzzy part of Velcro between the mount pieces. This worked well but I wanted a articulating mount so I replaced it with a Moryde articulating locking mount.
