Recharging AC

My brother has a 02 Newmar Kountry Star 37.5' MH on a workhorse chassis. I need to recharge the dash AC for him. I know what to do and how to do it so I do not need help with that. What I do need help with is locating the recharge port. I looked under the hood and the only ac port I could find was up in the upper left hand corner. It was part of some type of block system which had 2 recharge port caps. One covered a normal port and the other was longer and covered what appeared to be some type of square drive valve or something. I had not seen this type of setup before and want to make sure that is indeed the correct recharge port.

If both valves are schraeder type then you just need to determine which is high pressure and low pressure. The high pressure one will be hot a the low pressure one will be cold if you have some freon in the system. Of course put the freon in the low pressure side. If you have gauges then the task becomes easier.

On my 04 WH, the low pressure port is at the left in the area you describe. The high pressure port is just behind the radiator just slightly to the right. You will probably have to move the air dam to get to it.

Could it be some sort of shut off?

Isn't there just one port your Freon supply valve will fit?
