What is the best materiak to recoat a fiberglass roof on a Class A motorhome?

After reading many posts here about Red Max, Zep floor wax. I finally did my fiberglass roof, last week. Do a search here and see what you think. Several hours cleaning and scrubbing, then wipe it on. no buffing or rubbing.. I will try to post my picture oryou might see it in the search.

I don't know, but I will be interested in the replies you get. My fiberglass roof has some deterioration (perhaps caused by UV?) There are spots that appear to have become brittle and flaked off, exposing the matting underneath. A friend of mine that works with fiberglass suggested I just apply new gelcoat to the bad spots. I haven't decided yet. Do you have this kind of damage to your roof?

I have never seen bedliner sprayed on the roof, but your situations sounds like that would be the ideal and easy fix. May have to remove roof-top items to get a neat job.

Just as a thought you might consider a marine epoxy anti skid deck paint.

There is one product that will protect your gelcoat and clear coat paint. Collinite No. 845, Insulator Wax. This stuff is unbelievable. I found out about it from a professional car detailer. Normally not stocked but can be obtained from Advanced Auto overnight for about $18.00 a bottle. One bottle will do all four sides of my 43' class a twice with some left over. You will probably use two bottles on a fiberglass roof, it seems to suck it up, but it will stop the chalky runoffs down the sides. Rub it on the fiberglass roof and don't rub it off. On the gelcoat only do small sections at a time and rub off. Do not let it dry, it is very hard to get off. This is truly a wax that lasts a year. This wax was originally designed to keep electrical wires from arcing and for a easier pull through conduit. If you ever try this, you will never go back to anything else!
