Good / bad? Any sales rep to go to or stay away from?

Hi John T,

On I-10 it is 880 miles across Texas, I-10 & 1-20 i 836 miles actoss Texas. From Laredo to Gainsville, Tx on I-35 is 503 miles.

I know that was not your question, but your question is much to general. Are you looking for sales oe service, etc.

Be more specific and maybe someone can help you, the old trucker

Sales and Service. We're looking to buy our first motor home.

I stopped by last Thursday. It is an impressive facility.

I believe he's asking about a dealer named Motor Home Specialist in Alvarado, TX on I-35W between Hillsboro and Granbury.

I've bought 2 new MHs from them and I recommend them. One caution tho, when checking out the coach they tend to rush you through everything. That's OK if you are experienced in MH systems, but if not take a 2 days, stay overnight and try out everything they' described to you.

I agree with the comments above. The salesmen really put the rush on you, and don't display a lot of concern in answering your questions or following thru with any questions you may have. However, their service department folks are probably the best around. True professionals and very knowledgeable.

I dealt with the salesman Buck and was not impressed with his sales manner. Met another buyer ho dealt with "Cowboy" and he had the same impression. Probably the environment that the management expects their salesmen to operate by.

Did buy a coach, as their prices were the best i could find.

We recently purchased from MHSRV. We did not feel rushed at all, as a matter of fact we spent 3 nights at their facility and they repaired every item we found, even post closing. We dealt primarily with Mitch, who works in service during the week and sales on Saturdays. Cowboy handled the sales paper work and seemed to be a decent guy but very busy. We were pleased with the overall experience and love our new coach! In my opinion they are a top notch outfit.

That being said, we did run into a couple of sales guys we didn't care for in our hunt over several months. When we didn't get the right feeling we moved on to the next one.

If you haven't already drive a half mile up the road and check out Ancira RV. Ask for Tom Yancey, he is a great salesperson and Ancira has a great sales department. Plus they have great prices!

We bought our Tiffin from MHSRV in February and were pleased with the purchase, nothing extraordinary, but nothing crappy either...they have a great selection, their website is one of best around for showing pics of the coach, the coach was ready when we arrived and better than described, pre-delivery process was thorough, financing and paperwork was easy...I'm a big fan of "no surprises" when making large purchases, MHSRV accomplished that for me.

We took the RV right up the road to Rustic Creek Ranch for our first trip because we didn't know about their little RV park on-site...would have stayed there just to make sure I was familiar with everything, and to walk around and look at all the new RVs!

Wonder why they don't promote that opportunity to their buyers

Just bought new Forest River Georgetown from MHS. Do yourself a favor and visit with Carl. I live nearly 400 miles away from Alvarado. I told Carl that if we did business, he was going to have to sell his service department. He took me back and gave me a tour and introduced me to the service folks. Only then did I start kicking tires. No one in my hometown could touch the deal. This is my fourth RV, so I've met lots of RV salesmen. Carl left me alone to look all I wanted, and yet was always available to answer questions. He's followed up with phone calls. I haven't had reason to deal with the service department yet, but know that I will and am confident that they will do what they say.

Our salesman was Robert Brake he is the only one I would deal with if I were to purchase another RV from them.
