As a few others have pointed out the first point is - what do you need? Where and when will you use it, how to you expect to use it (two occupants or with friends/family, mostly parked, heavy touring).

In our case we boiled it down to a list of must haves (tag axle, 500+hp/1,600 lbs/ft as we drive in the mountains, four slides, king bed, aquahot). Then it came down to what was available and condition/price.

Then drive them. They are ALL sinkholes for money and you can't really tell before you buy, so don't drive your self nuts.

I would not overlook older coaches (2003-2006) in your search.. it can mean the difference between a "middle of the line" or "top of the line" coach for the same amount of money. I would also stay away from locking into just a few manufacturers...

I had narrowed my search down to American Coach or Country Coach, and spent months looking at only those brands.. We stumbled across our current Monaco just killing time at an RV dealer one day & suddenly decided we had to have a Monaco!

If we had locked into the brand we wanted too hard, we may have missed the perfect coach for us...

One thing you want to consider, is who is still in business. In the 1st month with my used Monaco, I had to call the manufacturer twice for issues they were able to help with or resolve.

You are going to be happy with any of the top brands as long as you choose on the floor plan & features you want, and it has the storage you require. If you like long showers and spend time in cold climates, I would seriously consider making an Aqua-hot system a requirement - I will not own another coach without it - I estimate with the diesel burner I will only have to fill the large propane tank once a year...
