I was seriously considering giving the coach the RMP treatment but decided to go with a more traditional approach for now. In reading a lot of the posts from those who have gone the RMP route it appears that their state of paint oxidation is pretty high. So in their case it may be the best means of getting a good shine back.

My coach must have been treated to indoor storage for a portion of its life because after 13 years the paint is still pretty good. I reviewed a bunch of posts from those who have gone with RMP and it seems like once you make that commitment there's no turning back. Not that this is a bad things judging from the results. Especially if you have badly oxidized paint. Sure beats shelling out the bucks for a full paint job.

I found a spray-on product called Optimum Car Wax that has a high level of UV inhibitors plus carnauba. They claim that it will last up to 5 months and its super easy to apply. I'll see how the 5 month claim stands up. The good news, I waxed the entire coach in about 2 hours. I purchased this stuff from is a professional detailers supply house, so they have lots of products to assist with keeping everything looking good, called autogeek.net.

I think you're spot on. If your RV still has a good finish to it, I'd use a good auto/boat wax product instead of a product designed for floors. I have used Mop and Glo on the end caps of my MH and it does a good job. For the sides Protectall.

I got a polish, spefically designed for fiberglass, from West Marine. It's their house brand and called "Pure Oceans Nanotech Fberglass Cleaner Wax". It does a nice job and it's fairly easy to use.

My daughter's red Jetta convinced me that wax, in all states, (liquid, paste, etc.) and brands is too ephemeral for all the acreage involved in covering an RV. I went with RMP #3 over a year ago and it still looks great. The Jetta, we've had to re apply wax 3 times. I'd do RMP on the Jetta, but I sold it and I'm not doing anything more to it except count my money!

What products are used by the community on a one piece fiberglass roof? Besides Dicor around any joints I am not sure whether there is a recommended practice for caring for the roof.

Red Max Pro #3 has been discontinued, but the same product is now sold as ZEP High Traffic Floor Finish. It can be found at Home Depot or Lowes. If you use the search google search function at the top of the page you'll find endless discussion of this product and it's durability. The big advantage over wax seems to be it's ease of application and it's long lasting protection. Boat owners have also discovered and discussed it, Google the product and you'll find many results. There are more expensive specific products for sealing and bringing out the shine of RV exteriors, most in the marine aisle, but they don't seem to do much better than Zep or RMP and they cost a whole lot more!
